I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, entitled

Ordinance to authorize the appropriation of a supplementary sum of Two hundred and Forty two thousand and Seventy nine dollars and twenty cents to defray the charges of the year 1884,

and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the

Governor's Instructions.

This Ordinance charges the sum of $242,079.2: upon the revenue of the Colony for the service of the
